Tuition Info

  • Lesson costs per term for:  small group (max 4 students) $145, duo $195 & private $265 
  • A discount is offered for siblings, early payments and choosing direct debit as a payment option
  • In group lessons we try to put kids learning the same instrument together but this is not always possible as it depends on numbers
  • Lessons are all 30 mins and are scheduled outside school hours both before and after school.

  • Students have the opportunity to enter the Kids on Key annual Talent Quest
  • Students are required to have their own instrument and bring to school for their weekly lesson. (The only exception to this is keyboard as they are provided for use at school but students still need their own for home practice)
  • If you need help with purchasing or hiring an instrument please contact us.
  • Progress reports are sent out at the end of terms 1 & 3 for private students only 
  • There are opportunities for students to join the school rock band
  • We always have a major end of year concert for families and other performing opportunities are encouraged where possible

Beginner ABC Music Program

  • This program enables students to try a variety of instruments over the course of 2 terms (see below)
  • We supply the instruments and you only pay for the lessons
  • At the end of the program a report is given to you to let you know which instrument is suited to the skills and interests of your child

  • This is a golden opportunity for your child to experience music and have a ton of fun in the process
  • Tuition fees are $270 ($260 siblings) Please note that this fee covers 2 terms of tuition
  • Students learn in small groups of 4-6 students for 30 min weekly lessons

The instruments trailed in the ABC program are as follows:

Junior ABC

Prep - Gr 2: recorder (a good lead in to flute & sax), percussion, ukulele, singing, keyboard, guitar, violin & basic theory

Senior ABC

Gr 3 - 6: keyboard, guitar, percussion, violin, flute, clarinet, singing, saxophone, ukulele & basic theory.

Christy found further motivation when I finally made time to squeeze in a few private lessons so that she could measure her progress by completing exams. The opportunity to further the education with exams and grading is there for the students that wish to pursue their instruments further.

During the COVID lockdown, music lessons went online and I was a bit apprehensive about how it would work. After we sorted all the technical stuff, I was really surprised by how much Nate engaged in the lessons. He told me after a month or so that he really enjoys having the lessons online and that he finds it easier to focus and learn. The way Cath sets it up works really well in terms of seeing the keyboard and taking turns in playing and listening. Nate's been more motivated than ever to practice and engage in the end of term concert. He's thinking about continuing online lessons when school returns, so he doesn't miss out on school time.
